As part of a visit marking Workers’ Day, Opposition leader Alfred Sant has urged local companies to emulate Attard & Co. Ltd’s success story.
Dr Sant visited the offices of Attard & Co. at Canter Business Centre in Marsa on Friday, April 20 in an event covered by the local media.
The Opposition leader was welcomed by Chairman Michael Scerri, Chief Executive Edward Martin and the other directors. After a presentation of the company’s history and its activities, Dr Sant was shown around the company’s various offices where he met the company’s employees.
Dr Sant underlined the way Attard & Co.’s business has evolved through the years mainly in the service and importation sector, and by providing technical support and services to printers. Attard & Co. has expanded its activities in the local market as well as overseas, mainly in Libya.
He emphasised the importance of providing support to companies like Attard & Co., which are capable of creating more jobs and of training technical staff with the aim of creating more competition and improve the overall standard of living.
Dr Sant stressed Malta’s great potential in expanding the technology and commercial sectors and augured Attard & Co. Ltd. continued success in the future.
