The picturesque village of Xaghra, is well-known for its rich historical heritage. On Friday 17th July 2009, Daniel Magrin, restaurateur and owner of Oleander Restaurant, officially opened D Venue Bar & Restaurant in Gozo. Situated in the Xghara Square, D Venue is a combination of old and new furnishings thus creating a harmonious and balanced environment. The premises consists of 3 storeys, suitable to hold private functions. The superb terrace on the 3rd floor is overlooking the Parish Basilica and there's nothing better than to sit back, relax and enjoy the fresh air while sipping a glass of wine and dining al fresco.
Once again, Attard & Co. Foodstuffs Ltd., promoted some of their wines from the French Estate, E. Guigal. In 1946 Etienne Guigal founded the Guigal estate and to date this family owned enterprise is producing some of France's premium quality wines.
This event was the right opportunity for guests to enjoy good wine while socialising. A fresh Côtes-du-Rhône White is a lovely aperitiv and a very good alternative to Chardonnay. The tasty Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé is well-balanced, elegant and a great summer wine. Côtes-du-Rhône Red is full-bodied, seductive and is the perfect match for a romantic night out!
Ta' Mena Estate added a touch of Gozitan culture with their locally produced fresh and fruity Vermentino white wine and the fruity, full-bodied and elegant Marsamena red wine.
The food menu at D Venue features exquisite food to suit all tastes as well as an extensive wine list with excellent local and international wines. It is a culinary experience not to be missed!
